This is the most personal product you will use. We treat your data accordingly.

What we collect

• Your name and email at sign-up.
• Your payment information, processed by our payment provider (we never see your card details).
• Everything you tell us as you go through your story — your typed answers and any voice recordings you choose to make.
• Passive signals as you go — how long you took, what you revised, what you skipped and returned to.
• The Counsel we write for you.
• Basic technical data: browser type, IP address (for security), pages visited.

How we store it

What you share, and your Counsel, are encrypted at rest. Voice recordings are encrypted at rest and accessible only to the systems that turn them into text. We store data on servers in Germany.

What we do with it

• We use your story to write your Counsel. That is its primary purpose.
• We use aggregated, anonymized patterns to improve the experience itself.
• We do not sell your data. We do not run ads against it. We do not train external models on it.

Who can read it

The people who contribute to your Counsel read your story with your name and identifying details removed — they do not know who you are. A very small number of people can access aggregated data for quality and safety review. Nobody else reads your individual story except where you give written permission, or where required by law.

Your rights

• You can download a copy of everything we have about you.
• You can delete your account. Deletion removes your data within 30 days, except where law requires retention.
• You can correct any information that is wrong.
• You can opt out of any non-essential email.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for session management and your theme preference. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.

Children

Yet To Live is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect.
